I am so upset right now, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARS HERE - ESPECIALLY older cars who have been driven by the same owner with regular maintenance. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FREE OIL CHANGE. Their FREE OIL CHANGE is going to cost us big! I owned the same vehicle for more than 10 years, regular maintenance and only one minor repair to the AC in the ENTIRE time I owned the vehicle. My daughter then relocated here after the Houston Hurricane and took over the vehicle in May of 2018 as it WAS a good vehicle she has two small children I wanted her to have safe reliable transportation. She saw they were offering a free oil change, the lobby was nice and as a young mom she has to budget... I didn’t have a good feeling about it then but didn’t say much because I hoped she would have a good experience and find a shop like I have to take her cars to. Within a couple weeks of the freebie the check engine light came on, I called on her behalf because I thought it was suspect since it had NEVER come on before, they agreed to waive the fee for diagnostics and my daughter went ahead and let them do the work - $414 later she drives off and the check engine light comes on again - all we got from them was “If it was the repair we made then we will fix it” well the vehicle won’t pass inspection now - it has for over 10 years NO ISSUES - so I decided I was going to go straight to them and see what they can do. I called on Tuesday 9/26 and Ashley answered the phone, not only was she rude and belittling, she spoke over me and raised her voice above mine to make sure I knew she was knowledgeable about cars. She let me know that she didn’t know how much I know or if I understand cars BUT.... blah blah blah throwing out very technical verbiage - WELL I was the assistant to the service department at a very prominent dealership so I do have some knowledge and sat right next to the service writers who wrote the RO’s. I asked her to have the owner call me. He called within an hour and was very polite. I told him my suspicions and he really didn’t address that, just that he would take a look at the car. She took the car in this morning - was quoted OVER $2,000 - that’s not even what’s upsetting - what’s even more upsetting AND really solidified that we may need to take legal action is that WITHIN 1 HOUR the BRAKE FLUID light is on... THIS IS YOUR WARNING - this is not and HONEST company.
